Finnish Aircraft Maintenance (FAM) is a company jointly owned by Finncomm and Finnair. FAM provides maintenance services for regional-class aircraft.
The company's service portfolio includes airframe maintenance, component support, AOG engineering services, and ground support equipment and services. FAM employs around
80 technical professionals.
The ownership structure of the company guarantees that the operator's view is taken into consideration in the services. This, in turn, ensures that
the most effective procedures are developed to satisfy the customer needs.
FAM was the very first EASA Part 145 maintenance company in Finland that specialises in passenger aircraft maintenance. The background for this joint venture
can be traced back to the updated EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) aviation requirements, where the responsibilities have been clearly divided between the
operator and the maintenance organisation. The new regulation together with the so called LCC (low cost carrier) market has paved the way for independent maintenance
organisations to be established in Europe.
Our partner Finncomm Training Academy (FCTA) is EASA Part 147 approved maintenance training organisation.
FCTA provides ATR type courses for maintenance staff. The approval covers ATR 42-400/500 and ATR 72-212A.
FAM is also a full member of ERA (European Regions Airlines Association).
